5 Steps to Sexier Hair:
1. BARE YOUR NAPE. If you're blessed with a long graceful neck, consider cropping your hair, or if you don't want to cut it short, try a ponytail.
2. KEEP IT TOUCHABLE. If your hair is stiff with products or flaky from alcohol-based gel, it's not sexy. Moisture-based stylants like cremes will give you a softer finish than strong-hold gels. Also look for flexible-hold hairspray.
3. TAKE A SHINE. Finish your look with a misting of a silcone-based hair glosser or a hairspray like Paul Mitchell Freeze & Shine. For longer lasting results try a glossifying treatment.
4. TAKE YOUR HAIR UP. Keep the length men love by gathering the front of your hair into a half updo. Bring it loosely back and catch with an elastic, or pin back sides with hair pins. Tug a few strands free in fromt for softness.
5. ADD A FEW RANDOM CURLS. You don't have to go all-out with texture. Use a curling iron to wind in swirls here and there they're especially sexy when added to a gew up-front peices.
Color So Beautiful
Senario: You've done a color on yourself & it looks great, but you got some dye on your skin along the hairline, & it will not come off. You keep washing the area with soap, & face wash but it still will not come off. What can you do?
Answer: Soaps & washes are exactly what you don't need! An oil based product will remove the excess dye from your skin easliy. Washes & soap in fact can dry out the area causing irriation, and may exacerbate the problem. Beauty supply stores sell hair color remover. You can also try baby oil. Dab a tissue or cotton ball with the oil & swipe away the tint. If some still remains, massage moisturizer into the area. Nex time, be sure to apply Vaseline to the edges of the hair line before you begin your color treatment. This will prevent & or lessen staining.
Senario: You are about to color your hair yourself, for the first time.
Answer: Always opt to dab a bit of the chemical onto a small area of skin, & hair to first check for allergens to the chemicals, and also to see how the chemical will react with the current state of your hair. If you are targeting grays don't just use any color. Gray hairs can often be stubborn. They usually require special formulas that specifically target gray hairs. Make sure you have the tools of the trade. You will need a timer, color kit, multiple towels, gloves, a plastic cap & Vaseline to rub along your hairline, so dye doesn't stain the skin. Lay out all of your tools so they are readily available. Be organized, so you don't lose track of time. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, remember there is a hot line number on the color kit box. Don't be afraid to use it!
